The roller skiing track at the Ukonniemi Multifunctional Stadium is one of the best tracks in Finland that have been designed for roller skiing and ski sports summer training. Completed in 2015, the track is modern and has a profile similar to current competition tracks. The area is closed to other traffic, making it safe for training.
Other training facilities of the Ukonniemi area are found within a walking distance from the track.
The Ukonniemi roller skiing track and other training facilities in the area provide an excellent setting for ski sports summer training and competitions. The shooting range of Ukonniemi Stadium serves biathlonists also in summer.
Ukonniemi Stadium was completed in 2015 and has a 30-lane target range, which is equipped with automatic Kurvinen Biathlon Targets.

There are two downhill skiing centres within a 25 min driving distance for Nordic walking on slopes in summer.
The centres have several slopes with an elevation of 70 metres for the training.
Freeski in Ruokolahti and Myllymäki in Lappeenranta.
Storage premises can be reserved for camp groups at the Ukonniemi Stadium.
Dressing rooms and showers are located in the adjacent Aviasport Areena. Toilets can be found both in the auditorium and customer service point of the stadium.

Hotel Rento is the largest log building in Northern Europe. It offers comfortable accommodation in a total of 29 rooms. The hotel is located next to Ukonniemi Stadium. Ski tracks and the roller skiing track start practically right at the front door of the hotel. The hotel specialises in sports group. For example the content and timing of meals can be tailored to the needs of each individual group.
Saimaa Life has six two-storey cabins that are made from ecological materials and have a total of 25 apartments of varying sizes. The apartments have a kitchen, a terrace or a spacious balcony, and an electric sauna. Saimaa Life’s holiday apartments are located next to Ukonniemi Stadium. Ski and roller skiing tracks start practically from the doorstep of the apartments.
Imatra Spa offers comfortable accommodation in a spa environment by the beautiful Lake Saimaa only 1.5 km from Ukonniemi Stadium. The selection of the spa hotel ranges from economic Sport rooms to high quality holiday apartments. In addition to the pools, the spa has a gym, an indoor ball game facility, indoor sports facilities, and physiotherapist and massage services. Ski and roller skiing tracks start right at the front door of the spa hotel. The first snow skiing track extends all the way to Imatra Spa.
Aikasyke measures the loading caused by training sessions on individual athletes, carries out physical testing, and measures and monitors overall loading and recovery. Tests and measurements are implemented at a location chosen by the customer either indoors or outdoors.
Concept2 SkiErg skiing equipment can be rented for training camps.
The device can be used to practise double pole and classic alternating arm technique indoors regardless of the weather. Concept2 SkiErg provides an excellent opportunity to test and practise physical skills in controlled conditions.
Where required, we will organise transportation to and from Imatra as well as any on-site transportation needed.
The Ukonniemi area offers a wide range of leisure time activities. For example a cruise on a sauna raft, a visit to a rope adventure park, or tailored team building programme are excellent ways to enhance the team spirit. The area also includes a Frisbee golf and golf courses, tennis courts, and two bowling alleys for leisure time activities.
