Ice Hockey

The modern dual-rink Imatra OmaSp Arena is located in the Ukonniemi area (address: Ottelukatu 1, Imatra), which provides an excellent setting for training camps and tournaments.

Imatra hosted the ice hockey U18 world championship games in 2014 and has also acted as the training camp venue for several KHL teams. The ice hockey arena is famous for the high quality of its ice, and for being excellently suited for training camps.

The Imatra Spa Arena (Ottelukatu 1, 55420 Imatra) offers diverse training and maintenance facilities for sport camps, tournaments, and matches. Other training facilities in the Ukonniemi area surround the Imatra Spa Arena, making the experience complete.

The conditions in Imatra are perfect for successful training camps.

Capital Area Phoenix organised a figure skating camp in Imatra ice arena in summer 2017. The camp was topped off with an ice show. Olympic medallist Gary Beacom was the star of both the camp and the show.

Kansainvälinen leirijärjestäjä Hockey is My Life on järjestänyt lasten jääkiekkoleirejä Imatralla Base Campin avustamana jo vuodesta 2017. Leireillä on käynyt tässä ajassa tuhansia lapsia ja nuoria oppimassa nykyaikaisen jääkiekon vaatimuksista.

Ice hockey teams Saipa Lappeenranta and Imatran Ketterä, together with Imatra Base Camp, has organised Jussi Markkanen’s Goalkeeper Camp in Imatra ice arena since summer 2017. The camp has been full of aspiring young goalkeepers from different parts of Finland.

Lari Joutsenlahden huippusuosittu luisteluleiri on järjestetty Imatran jäähallissa vuodesta 2018. Imatra Base Camp on pitänyt huolen loistavista puitteista ennen leiriä sekä sen aikana. Palveluihin ovat kuuluneet mm. verkkosivut, majoituspakettien kilpailutus, sekä leiripäivien ruokailut Imatran jäähallin ravintolassa.
