Sports on ice

Imatra’s modern twin-rink ice arena is located in the Ukonniemi area, where a variety of accommodation options and comprehensive sports facilities are all within walking distance – creating an Olympic training center–like environment.

The ice arena is renowned for its high-quality ice, excellent off-ice training opportunities, and ideal conditions for training camps. It also serves as the home arena for Imatran Ketterä and hosted the U20 Five Nations Tournament in 2024.

The venue has held numerous national and international figure skating and synchronized skating camps, as well as training camps for clubs from across the country. In summer, the arena hosts high-quality, open-to-all ice hockey and figure skating camps for children, youth, and families.
