Ahvenisto biathlon in Imatra
The AN-Biathlon team held their training camp at the Ukonniemi Biathlon Stadium in Imatra from August 1–8, 2021.
Auser Oy held a training seminar in Theater Imatra. There were 120 participants in the seminar. The seminar used the grand stege and the theatre cafe for their activities..
Biathlon Canada had at Imatra in November 2020 their pre-season prepairing camp for the World Cup opening race at Kontiolahti. Imatra Base Camp organized accommodation and training conditions - ski track, shooting range and gym - according to current coronavirus resrictions, Covid-testing and host services for everyday local arrangements.
Capital Area Phoenix organised a figure skating camp in Imatra ice arena in summer 2017. The camp was topped off with an ice show. Olympic medallist Gary Beacom was the star of both the camp and the show.
The Cross Border Cup tournament brings together dozens of Finnish junior teams and hundreds of players with their families to enjoy football in the modern tournament facilities of Imatra’s Ukonniemi area.
The Czech Republic’s biathlon team organised their preparatory training camp at the Ukonniemi first snow track and biathlon stadium in October and November 2017.

The Elite Football Camp for young footballers has been held annually on the artificial turf of Ukonniemi, Imatra, since 2016. The camp’s coach has been Tim Wareing, a UEFA A licensed coach from Northern Ireland.
EHS-10-group had first snow ski camp at Imatra Ukonniemi in October 2020. Imatra Base Camp organised the teams full board meals and ski passes.
The U17 Nordic Football Championship tournament was held in Imatra on August 2, 2023.In addition to host country Finland, the participating teams included the Faroe Islands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Israel, which was invited from outside the Nordic countries.Two matches were played in Imatra during the day: in the afternoon game, Denmark faced Norway, and in the evening match, host Finland went up against Sweden.
HC Härvääjät hosted a one-day recreational hockey tournament in Imatra in late May 2024.The facilities received plenty of praise from both the team and their opponents, and the tournament ran smoothly!
The Musketeers team from Helsingin Luistelijat held their first training camp in Imatra in August 2024.
The international camp organizer Hockey is My Life has been hosting children’s ice hockey camps in Imatra since 2017. Over the years, thousands of children and young people have attended the camps to learn about the demands of modern ice hockey.
Ice hockey teams Saipa Lappeenranta and Imatran Ketterä, together with Imatra Base Camp, has organised Jussi Markkanen’s Goalkeeper Camp in Imatra ice arena since summer 2017. The camp has been full of aspiring young goalkeepers from different parts of Finland.
The Kunlun Red Star U-20 team held a training camp in Ukonniemi, Imatra, in August 2017. During the two-week camp, the team also played practice matches against Imatran Ketterä and SaiPa from Lappeenranta..
Lari Joutsenlahti’s highly popular summer skating camp has been held at the Imatra Ice Arena since 2018.
The Lithuania biathlon team had their pre-season training camp at the Imatra Ukonniemi first snow track and biathlon stadium in October 2020. The camp also prepaired the team for the World Cup opening race at Kontiolahti
Imatra Base Camp organized accommodation and training conditions according to current coronavirus resrictions, Covid-testing and all the necessary invitations and documents for entering Finland in these exceptional corona conditions.
Finland’s most popular all-star game event, the Itä-Länsi pesäpallo match, was held in Imatra’s Ukonniemi area in 2017, the centenary year of Finland’s independence. The event was part of the official program celebrating Finland’s 100th year of independence.
The Finnish national biathlon A-team and the Terrafame training group held their roller skiing camp in Imatra from September 11–19, 2023.It was the national team’s first camp in Imatra, and they were looking for new training challenges on the local roller ski track.In addition to the fourteen athletes, the camp included three head coaches and two shooting coaches.Free time during the camp was dedicated to eating, resting, and recovery.

Marina Shirshova's SM Skating School has organized several figure skating training camps in Imatra since summer 2018.
South Karelia Regional fund held its annual celebration in Theatre Imatra in the fall of 2017.
The Ice Infinity team from Tikkurila Figure Skating Club held a training camp in Imatra in July 2022 to build their new free program for the upcoming season. The team praised the cleanliness of the ice arena, the excellent ice quality, the hospitality of the people they met, and the convenient and comfortable accommodation.
Over the past decade, Imatran Urheilijat has organized two Junior Finnish Championships, two Roller Skiing Championships, and three Senior Finnish Championships in Imatra. Ukonniemi Stadium and the surrounding trails have provided excellent facilities for hosting these events.
Finland’s largest CrossFit event, “Karjalan kovin,” has been organised in the Ukonniemi Stadium and the surrounding areas in every summer since 2017. The event organisation used the stadium, the sales kiosks and the parking spaces.
