Imatra Base Camp is a non-profit subsidiary 100% owned by the City of Imatra. We are responsible for developing sports and recreational tourism in Imatra. Our target is to support teams, clubs, and travel organizers in planning their events in Imatra, including training camps, competitions, and tournaments. We provide a one-stop solution for managing all necessary arrangements, including accommodation offers, sports facility bookings, and additional services.

Our services are free of charge for customers.

Golf

Imatra offers amazing golfing experiences in the beautiful landscapes of South Karelia. The well-maintained courses in the area, such as Imatra Golf and Holiday Club Golf Saimaa, are suitable for players of all levels, providing diverse challenges for both practice and play. The high-quality practice areas and comprehensive services, including coaching, pro shops, and restaurants, ensure an enjoyable experience.

South Karelia has a total of four golf courses: Holiday Club Golf Saimaa in Rauha, Lappeenranta; Imatra Golf by Lake Immolanjärvi; Etelä-Saimaa Golf in Lappeenranta; and the Kahilanniemi park course near downtown Lappeenranta. At Golf Saimaa, you will also find a practice center open to anyone interested in golf, as no green card or golf club membership is required.

Golf opportunities in the Imatra region

The Imatra area is a fantastic place for golf enthusiasts to vacation - there is plenty of choice with two full-length golf courses and one Par 3 course in the area. Additionally, golfers have access to a dedicated practice center, driving ranges with covered bays, putting and chipping greens, pro shops, cafes, restaurants, and even saunas.

Imatran Golf - Imatra

An 18-hole, beautiful, park-like golf course by Lake Immalanjärvi. The stunning lake views are visible from several fairways. The course suits players of all levels, offering challenges for top players while also allowing a safe game for club players. The practice areas, including a grass driving range, putting greens, and a bunker, are located immediately adjacent to the clubhouse.

The clubhouse features a caddiemaster office, pro shop, large terrace, and café. Showers and saunas are available for players' use.

Holiday Club Golf Saimaa - Rauha, Lappeenranta

The 18-hole course at Golf Saimaa is designed to offer challenges and the joys of success to players of all levels. The terrain in the area seems made for a golf course.

In addition to the full-length golf course, Saimaa has a practice center that does not require a green card or golf club membership. The practice center includes a large driving range, a 6-hole par-3 course, and greens for short game practice.

Etelä-Saimaa Golf - Lappeenranta

The Etelä-Saimaa course is situated on the scenic and rocky Tuosa Island on the southern shore of Lake Saimaa. The course is bordered in many places by the Salpalinja fortifications, and several fairways extend into Natura areas. Pines and spruces line the fairways winding along the shores, with the blue waters of Lake Saimaa visible everywhere.

The practice area includes a driving range, putting green, chipping green, and a green near the first tee.

Kahilanniemi Golf - Lappeenranta

A 9-hole park course located in the lakeside scenery of downtown Lappeenranta. The course features diverse fairways that challenge players of all levels. The practice area includes a multi-level putting green and a separate chipping green with two different bunkers. The driving range has a unique "water range" where balls are hit into Lake Saimaa.

Saimaa Life & Saimaa Light holiday apartments

Saimaa Life has six two-storey cabins that are made from ecological materials and have a total of 25 apartments of varying sizes. The apartments have a kitchen, a terrace or a spacious balcony, and an electric sauna. Saimaa Light Apartments are an excellent choice for sport groups.  Saimaa Life & Saimaa Light holiday apartments are located in the heart of Ukonniemi right next to the Imatra Spa Arena.

 

Imatra Spa Resort

Imatra Spa offers comfortable accommodation in a spa environment by the beautiful Lake Saimaa only 1.5 km from the sports facilities. The selection of the spa hotel ranges from economic Sport rooms to high quality holiday apartments. In addition to the pools, the spa has a gym, an indoor ball game facility, indoor sports facilities, and physiotherapist and massage services.

 

Holiday Club Saimaa

Holiday Club Saimaa boasts a magnificent location by Lake Saimaa only a 5 minute drive from the sports facilities in Ukonniemi. Whether you stay in the spa hotel or holiday apartments, you will be ideally located to enjoy the wide range of leisure time services found in the area. Holiday Club Saimaa has a gym, padel- and tennis courses and other sports facilities.

Hotel Rauhan Marina Village

Spacy holiday apartments with 2 bedrooms, living room and own well equipped kitchen. Sauna with large hall and kitchen on the ground floor.  Located nearby the Holiday Club Saimaa.  Good choice for sport camp groups.
